Utilization of methane from municipal solid waste landfills

Here, we analyzed the utilization efficiency of methane (CH<sub>4</sub>) gas from landfill sites associated with its power generation potential in different systems; addition, reduction amount CH<sub>4</sub> emitted landfills untreated waste, proposed an effective method for site selection, and investigated environmental issues caused by landfilling solid waste. Furthermore, evaluated geographical chemical characteristics, iteration variables operations, application CH<sub>4</sub>, efficiencies energy-converting systems, CO<sub>2</sub> emissions other energy sources, (LFG) being considered as fuel. For efficient quality extraction LFG, ideal conditions (e.g., construction, geometry, weather, temperature, moisture, pH, biodegradable matter) hydrogeological parameters that influence LFG leachate. The first order decay equation was used to predict a single bulk municipal waste stream various characteristic interims geography capacity potential. More is generated conventional clean air act condition than wet arid conditions. Based on analysis, suggest economical systems using landfills.
